Mang Inasal Philippines, in partnership with the country's Department of Tourism (DOT), unveiled their "Love the Flavors, Love the Philippines" campaign on September 23, 2024, Monday, at the Novotel Manila Araneta City. The special event was attended by members of the print and online media, travel bloggers, food content creators, vloggers, and social media influencers.

Love the Flavors is a two-fold campaign. It is Mang Inasal's contribution to the global observance of the United Nations-initiated "World Tourism Day," which happens on September 27th of every year, and is one of the company's programs aimed to support DOT's gastronomic tourism efforts. "This campaign is a celebration of Filipino food—a cornerstone of our culture that we are excited to share with the world," said Mike V. Castro, Mang Inasal's president, in his opening remarks.

Along with Castro, gracing the media launch was Allan C. Tan, Mang Inasal's marketing chief, and Gissela Romualdez-Quisumbing, DOT Assistant Secretary for Branding and Marketing Communications, who, in her keynote speech, thank the company and recognized them as "a key partner in enhancing Filipino cuisine as part of our national identity."

Honored guests, including celebrity mom, Melai Cantiveros-Francisco, and well-known online influencers, Kyle "Kulas" Jennerman, Fumiya Sankai, and the Blackman Family of Australian father Joshua, Filipina mother Jeraldine, and their charming kids Nimo and Jette, lead the campaign's official launch.

Each guest also shared their travels and their favorite Mang Inasal stories during the event's "Travelers' Kuwentuhan" segment. Sankai, a Japanese YouTuber who rose to fame when he joined Pinoy Big Brother, highlighted his unique experience of eating with bare hands—a Filipino dining culture which enjoying the savory chicken inasal often entails.

As a sweet treat, local and foreign tourists can get a FREE 8oz Extra Creamy Halo-Halo for every purchase of Chicken Inasal Paa or Pecho Large at any Mang Inasal outlet, simply by presenting a valid ID along with their boarding pass or e-ticket dated between September 1 and 27. This special offer runs during the tourism week from September 23 to 27.

"Just imagine visiting the Philippines and not tasting our chicken inasal or indulging in our halo-halo, it’s something you simply can’t miss," Castro said proudly.

Halo-halo is an ice dessert that is uniquely Filipino, while the chicken inasal is a Bacolod City-born grilled delicacy—a significant piece of the city's culture that the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA) recognized it as "Bacolod's cultural property" in 2022.
